Irish SPV Assets Rise by €15billion in Q4-2019

Assets held by Irish SPVs rose by +€15.3bn during Q4-2019 to reach the highest amount on record.

Data: Total Irish SPV Assets by Quarter; Source: Central Bank of Ireland SPE Statistics, compiled by Atlantic Star Consulting

This represented an increase of +1.8% over the quarter and a +18.0% increase over the past 12 months, in what has become the longest ‘winning streak’ in terms of sector activity since comprehensive records began in Q3-2015.

This sustained increase in SPV vehicle numbers and assets is said to be broad-based across several vehicle types, and is indicative that there is further growth to be seen in the sector in coming quarters.
